Custom automation projects are scoped after discovery. Industry practice is a 30–50% deposit before build work starts. This $500 deposit (or 50% of quote when higher) reserves your start window and is applied to the final invoice.

Custom builds commonly range $800–$5,000+ for personal/SMB scope; complex systems go higher. The deposit is not the full price.
